What is the RFP Marketplace?
The CanBiotech Request for Partnership (RFP) Marketplace is an online exchange that connects biotech business and research service providers to partner service providers. Service providers-Lead Contractors, submit a bid for subcontractors on a prospective service project. Interested service providers can bid to become subcontractors on a project and be selected to partner based on a project's needs. The Request for Partnership Marketplace benefits service providers by providing an efficient way to participate in new leads on a national or international scale. The marketplace is NOT a list marketplace, but involves communication between the lead contractor and subcontractor and a bidding process by the subcontractor via CanBiotech provided dialog boxes. These dialog boxes only appear after registration in our marketplaces, including agreement to CanBiotech's terms and conditions.  

1. Login.

2. Register as a service provider and provide information as to the services offered using CanBiotech’s service provider registration/profile template. Choose the categories of services (business and/or research) to which you wish to subscribe and receive RFP’s.

3. Indicate that you have read and consent to the Terms and Conditions/Policy Statements. You are now a member of the RFP marketplace.

4. Edit your profile at any time. Edit the categories to which you are subscribed to receive RFPs at any time.

5. Use the subcontractor quote portlet to receive quotes from multiple local, national and international lead contractors. Choose to respond to RFPs that best match your service offerings.

The templates found at 
http://www.canbiotech.com/mpBSPartners.asp  and http://www.canbiotech.com/mpRSPartners.asp 
are used only by lead contractors to submit quotes to registered subcontractors.

6. Ask specific questions of lead contractors.

7. Use the subcontractor quote portlet to see which projects/contracts you have been awarded to participate in as a subcontractor. (Note: RFPs once awarded will appear under the awarded category, use the drop down feature to view these RFPs as well as closed/expired RFPs.)

8. Receive the lead contractor’s contact information.

9. Contact the lead contractor and finalize the details offline.

10. Once the project is complete, rate your lead contractor. (See Ratings & Feedback)

Research RFP service templates can be found at http://www.canbiotech.com/mpRSPartners.asp and should be filled out by lead contractors to be received by subcontractors as quotes.

6. Pay per posting in the RFP Marketplace. (For the first few months this service will be offered for FREE-CanBiotech reserves the right to change this in the future to a pay-per-posting fee. However, no additional transaction fees from awarded contracts will be paid to CanBiotech.)

7. Compare responses from multiple local, national and international service providers that match your needs using our lead contractor quote portlet.

8. Ask and answer specific questions of subcontractors.

Benefits:
The Request for Partnership Marketplace will provide new biotech players the opportunity to gain experience and new leads in this industry. At the same time, it is anticipated that such players will have the opportunity to participate in larger-scale, perhaps even international contracts/projects, given the quality and reputation of North American services. International service providers will have the opportunity to gain from this solid reputation, extending their access into new areas and locations of biotechnology.
