What is the RFQ Marketplace?
The CanBiotech Request for Quote (RFQ) Marketplace is an online exchange that connects biotech business and research service providers to buyers of such services. The Request for Quote Marketplace benefits buyers and sellers by providing an efficient way to find business and research partners and new customers. The marketplace is NOT a list marketplace, but involves communication between the buyer and service provider and a bidding process by the service provider via CanBiotech provided dialog boxes. These dialog boxes only appear after registration in our marketplaces, including agreement to CanBiotech's terms and conditions.
The Process for the Buyer:
1. Login.
2. Register as a buyer.
3. Indicate that you have read and consent to the Terms and Conditions/Policy Statements. You are now a member of the RFQ marketplace.
4.Edit your profile at any time.
To submit an RFQ:
5. Fill out the corresponding RFQ template for the service you desire, specifying your exact needs for your project.
Business service templates can be found at http://www.canbiotech.com/mpBusServices.asp and should be filled out by buyers to be received by service providers as quotes.
Research service templates can be found at http://www.canbiotech.com/mpResServices.asp and should be filled out by buyers to be received by service providers as quotes.
6. If available, specify the service providers to whom the RFQ should be sent to under a particular service category.
7. Compare responses (bids) from multiple local and national service providers that match your needs using our buyer quote portlet.
8. Ask and answer specific questions of service providers.
9. Choose the service provider that will be awarded the project/contract. (Note: RFQs once awarded will appear under the awarded category, use the drop down feature to view these RFQs as well as closed/expired RFQs.)
10. Receive the service provider’s contact information.
11. Contact the service provider and finalize the details offline.
12. Once the project is complete, rate your service provider. (See Ratings & Feedback)

Buyers will typically receive multiple customized responses from local and national business and or research service providers. Buyers can quickly and easily compare these service providers online and determine which partner best meets their needs in terms of price, quality of service, lead time etc.
The CanBiotech Request for Quote service should save small businesses time and money by shortening the buying process, providing quick access to local and national business as well biotech research service providers, and enabling buyers to make more informed purchasing decisions. Our service is FREE of charge to buyers.
The Process for the Service Provider:
1. Login.
2. Register as a service provider and provide information as to the services offered using CanBiotech’s service provider registration/profile template. Choose the categories and/or subcategories of services (business and/or research) to which you wish to subscribe and receive RFQ’s.
3. Select the subscription package available. CanBiotech provides a subscription package for service providers to be represented on our networks to receive RFQs. No additional transaction fees from awarded projects/contracts will be paid to CanBiotech.
4. Indicate that you have read and consent to the Terms and Conditions/Policy Statements. You are now a member of the RFQ marketplace.
5. Edit your profile at any time. Edit the categories to which you are subscribed to receive RFQs at any time.
6. Use the service provider quote portlet to receive quotes from multiple local and national buyers. Choose to respond to quotes that best match your service offerings.
The templates found at

are used only by buyers of services to submit quotes to registered service providers.
